On Thursday, August 1st we shared a meal and worship music with the community at Hartville Memorial Park.
In conjunction with the Love Our Community organization of Lake Township and with generous support from Lake Township FISH and Thrivent Financial, our Good News Committee prepared and served dinner to the Lake Twp. community at Hartville Park. The committee put together a delicious meal, and many of those who worship
on Thursday evenings showed up and were able to grab some food and eat with folks from our community. The goal was to create a family meal type atmosphere where we all ate together and were able to make new friendsfrom our community. People from all walks of life enjoyed the meal, and it was especially helpful to those who face homelessness, the elderly, or schoolchildren and their families who may struggle without a summer food program.
Dinner was followed by a sing along led by our Thursday evening worship team. Nearly everyone stuck around and sang worship songs ranging from traditional hymns to praise songs. We look forward to making this a summer tradition! A shout out to the Love Our Community team for making community meals part of the summer for residents of Lake Twp. We had a great time helping out!
