Lutheran World Relief Project Promise Campaign: 98 Kits Donated!

St. Jacob’s participated in the LWR Project Promise Campaign during Lent. Members donated items from the list below in quantities that allowed us to assemble 98 Personal Care Kits that will be distributed by Lutheran World Relief to people around the world—providing tools to stay healthy in life’s most challenging situations.

In places like the Philippines, Personal Care Kits allow families who have lost their belongings in devastating typhoons to stay healthy and clean and preserve personal dignity. Families have fled Syria to Jordon to escape ongoing violence at home. They receive Personal Care Kits and quickly put them to use.

Each Personal Care Kit includes:

• dark colored, light-weight bath towel
• 2 bar soaps (in original wrapping)
• toothbrush (adult size, in original packaging)
• heavy duty comb (w/handle)
• metal clippers (attached file optional)
