Mark your calendars for August 7-8th and haul out your sleeping bag and bathing suits! You’ll need both for our August Activity: a trip to “Kamp Krista!” The pool opens at 3PM and you can come anytime. Friends are definitely welcome!! We’ll have plenty to do from swimming to playing catch to corn hole and ping pong to just sitting around. Those of you who are marching in the HOF parade or participating in athletic activities can look forward to time in the pool to cool off after your hard hot work.
We’ll cook dinner on the grill and later build a campfire for s’ mores or pie iron pies or banana boats (ymmmm!) and do our Bible study by fire light. Maybe we’ll get lucky and someone will bring their guitar and play us some tunes around the fire. We’ll pitch tents before dark (hmmm… do we have tents?) and those who don’t like sleeping outdoors can bunk in the porch room. We’ll drag ourselves out of the sack in time for a quick breakfast and the 9:30AM worship service and everyone can head home from St. Jacob’s after worship.
Watch your email for information on what you can bring -- food, beverages, or paper products, etc. Also, grab a non-perishable food item or toiletry and bring it along for the FISH cupboard. If you have a fun group game that works outdoors, bring it and anything else you think would make the time fun.
