This summer there will be a five-week Bible on Ten Biblical Figures and why they are important to our Faith. This study is for those are not familiar with the Bible and it stories to assist in gaining familiarity, as well as those who know the Bible intimately to enjoy anew these accounts and connect the biblical characters with modern life. We will see that joys, sorrows, relationships and the search for meaning is not confined to the 21st century, but as old as the biblical witness itself.
This study will be held on Wednesdays at noon and last until approximately 1:15 p.m. All are invited to bring a brown bag lunch. Dates will be June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28.
Please send an email to Pastor Schafer (pastorSJLC@neo.rr.com) and put “Brown Bag Bible” in the subject field if you plan to participate so that adequate materials are available. We will examine Abraham, Moses, Ruth, David, Deborah, Jeremiah, Mary, Mary Magdalene, Peter and Paul.
