We are beginning the search for Sunday School teachers for the 2010-11 school year. Are you willing to lend a hand? We need teachers for all ages from elementary through adult.

You don’t have to sign on for the entire year – just a few weeks! If you have a special story to share (for example one member will be doing a two week session for the Jr High-High school kids on her experiences in Uganda) or have a topic that is particularly important to you, let Krista know and we’ll work it in to the schedule.

And of course, we need folks who are willing to teach from our curriculum – we’ve got great stuff for all the age levels that will help you present a great class with minimal planning. The commitment is not long and you’ve got the pick of the schedule right now, so get in touch with Krista early!

Are you willing to move a few chairs, set out some toys and brochures and hang a few signs?  If so, be part of the Vaccination Clinic Set-up Crew! 

We are looking for a small team of people willing to stick around after the late service on the Sunday before the 2nd Monday of each month to set up the rooms being used by the Stark County Health Department for their vaccination clinic.  We’ve got pictures of what the set up should be and will have a short training session in the late summer/early fall. 

This has been a very successful undertaking at St. Jacob’s and is truly a great way to serve our community and we’ve received great feedback from the clinic staff! If you are a willing volunteer or have more questions, contact Skip Mulig or Krista.
